Tyler, the Creator was in a nostalgic mood last night (May 27) when he took to Twitter.
After sharing an image of his Odd Future collective from 2010 on Instagram, Tyler began to reminisce about the gang.
“Damn going threw the old golf wang photos shit. i miss my friends a lot. 5 years later isnt that long but wow soooo much has happened,” he wrote.
“Although its no more, those 7 letters are forever,” Tyler continued.

It’s likely that Tyler is referencing Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (b.k.a. OFWGKTA). The Los Angeles based group of friends previously comprised of Earl Sweatshirt, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Frank Ocean, Mike G, producers Left Brain, Syd Tha Kyd, Matt Martians, Hal Williams, Jasper Dolphin, Taco Bennett, Lucas Vercetti and L-Boy.
Odd Future released their debut mixtape, The Odd Future Tape, in 2008 but began receiving widespread notoriety in 2010 with the release of their Radical mixtape and side projects by Earl and Frank Ocean.
Tyler’s recent statement seems to imply that OFWGKTA has parted ways.
In recent years, the crew has continued to move forward separately. Both Tyler and Earl released solo albums this year and Frank Ocean is prepping his second offering,Boys Don’t Cry.

UPDATE: EarlSweatshirt has responded to Tyler, the Creator’s Tweets regarding the end of Odd Future. Like Tyler, Earl took to Twitter to express his sentiments.
“no sympathy for male virgins who’re in their feelings about tyler pointing out and solidifying the obvious,” he wrote via Twitter.
Earl also urged Odd Future “runoff” to stop dressing like an “easter basket” and to pursue females.
