50 Cent and Eminem have a storied history together. From being on the same label to creating some of Hip Hop’s most notable collaborative anthems, the two always seem to drop quality.

Recently sitting down with MTV News, 50 Cent talked about a new collaborative track called “Champions” he recorded with Em and says it will be on one of his upcoming projects.

“We wrote the song in Detroit, I [went] out there and we recorded in his studio, which is his comfort zone,” 50 said in describing the recording process. “Em is a lab rat–in case you didn’t notice. You don’t see him unless he’s scheduled to be there. Other than that, he’s probably writing something right now.”

The Queens native continued by saying that working with Eminem is more fun than actual work and he’s always prepared to record when you arrive in Detroit.

“It’s a really cool process, It’s usually more fun than it feels like work,” he said. “[The song] sounds like one of those hit records you’ve heard from Eminem in the past [with] an R&B singer on the chorus. And it’s one of those songs that he wrote his portion of the song before I got there.”

“Champions” is slated to be on 50 Cent’s forthcomingStreet King Immortal album. 2010’s “My Life” was the last time the duo appeared on a track together.
