Seems that Eastern Conference Records, home of artists such as Cage, Copywrite and The High & Mighty, have finally left Rawkus Records and have signed a six figure deal with a yet to be announced distributor. Mighty Mi recently reported the news over at the official Eastern Conference Records website, stating that there was no need for a middle man (Rawkus) anymore and that they would prefer to deal with their distributors directly.

It’s been no secret that Eastern Conference artists have been frustrated by Rawkus’ treatment of their artists, with Mighty Mi giving a parting shot in the announcement that he made. Over the Rawkus/DefJam rumored merger, he claimed that Rawkus wanted to be like DefJam so badly, which is also another reason why the left the label, but he wished them luck in any future plans they might have.
