DMX has struck a deal with prosecutors for the June road rage incident and will avoid jail time by admitting responsibility for the scuffle, which started over a parking spot.

Reports initially stated that DMX and another individual were after the same parking spot in the area. X and Jackie Hudgins chased the other driver with flashing lights and sirens on his SUV and crashed through a toll both.

When police arrived, DMX was allegedly pulling the other driver out of the car in an attempt to assault him. In a search of his vehicle, the police found a billy club and a small amount of crack cocaine.

He was subsequently charged with menacing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Last month DMX’s lawyers and the prosecution were close to a deal, but it fell through when the X allegedly refused to admit responsibility for the crime. Under the terms of the deal, DMX will serve no prison time and be charged with a misdemeanor offense.
