Los Angeles detectives are reportedly negotiating the surrender of G-Unit rapper Young Buck. The G-Unit rapper is wanted for allegedly stabbing a man at the Vibe Awards in Santa Monica, police said Thursday.
Buck’s attorney, Scott Leemon, reportedly issued a statement stating Buck would “surrender in the near future and then be released on bail.” An agreement had not yet been reached. Audrey Horn, Young Buck’s mother, has said that even though she has not been in contact with her son that she is sure he would turn himself in.
A warrant for Buck’s arrest was issued following the altercation at the Vibe awards which ended in the rapper allegedly stabbing Jimmy James Johnson after Johnson punched Dr. Dre prior to him receiving the lifetime achievement award.
Johnson was in stable condition and suffered a collapsed lung. Police have yet to interview him regarding the incident. The other two men brandishing knives in the incident are also being sought after.
