YG says he has a label situation brewing that will involve DJ Mustard and Ty Dolla $ign.  

“Me, Mustard and Ty got a label,” YG says in an interview with Houston, Texas radio station 93.7. “We got a little situation going on. We got a situation that’s about to occur. Pushaz Ink the label. Ty own part of it, Mustard own part of it, I own part of it. So you know it’s about to get real.” 

YG also addressed his friendship with DJ Mustard and how that has been compared to the Snoop Dogg/Dr. Dre bond when asked about it by host DeviDev. 

“That’s a blessing”, YG says. “I get why they lookin’ at us like that. You feel me? Like, it’s the music, but at the same time, when Snoop and Dre was coming up, they was homies and me and Mustard is homies, too. When I go on my tour, Mustard the deejay. This is like a movement and people see that, so that’s part of the reason why they saying we the new Snoop and Dre. And we got the music too. Snoop actually said it himself.”

DJ Mustard is one of the people comparing the duo to Snoop and Dre. Recently, Mustard made the comparison when discussing My Krazy Life.

“Like [Dr. Dre’s] The Chronic, really,” Mustard says of the album which earned a 3 out of 5 in its HipHopDX review. “For sure. It’s like our generation of The Chronic, you know what I’m saying? This is Snoop [Dogg] and [Dr.] Dre all over again.”

Recently, Mustard also spoke with HipHopDX about his bond with YG

“That’s one of my best friends,” DJ Mustard says. “I know what he don’t like, what he like. I know everything, like he know about me. I used to live with him. I slept in his garage.”
