Cardi B has some words for Candace Owens after the conservative political commentator suggested the rapper’s endorsement of Kamala Harris was financially motivated.
In a post to X on Thursday (November 14), Owens outright asked Cardi if she was paid to speak at a campaign rally for Harris earlier this month.
“Hey @iamcardib — Working on a story and was wondering if you were in any way paid to speak at the Kamala campaign event you spoke at. Thanks in advance!” she wrote.
Cardi quickly clapped back: “I didn’t get paid a dollar and that’s on my three!! I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be.. Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE!”

Elon Musk also previously tried to get at Cardi B for her endorsement, calling her a “puppet” after her speech got off to a shaky start when the teleprompter broke. The issue left her awkwardly waiting for someone to pass her a phone with her speech on it, but it went on without a hitch from there.
“Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words,” Musk wrote on X in response. “The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy.”
ardi quickly clapped back at the Tesla CEO, writing: “I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you.

In a separate post, Cardi criticized unsubstantiated rumors that she was paid to support Harris at the political rally.
“I did not get paid a dollar for this…I actually been talking about these topics for the past couple years FOR FREE on ALL my platforms!!” she insisted.
“Before I was a celebrity I was a product of poverty for 24 years so you not gonna tell me what I want to see in MY community.”
She got triggered because she was indeed paid. Oprah got paid a million to do the event, not personally but her company collected the payment. Kamalas campaign collected a billion in donations but went bankrupt by a deficit of around 20 million. It wasted a ton of money on worthless celebrity endorsements and performances.
