Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame plans on taking his interest in electronic dance music (EDM) one step further with the release of Flockaveli Psychotics, a project that will serve as the wordsmith’s first ever EDM rap album.
Waka made the announcement while speaking with HotNewHipHop.com about Flockaveli 2, touring with Steve Aoki, and more.
“I’m doing it, it’s called Flockaveli Psychotics. [It’ll] get released next year,” said the rapper.
He also offered a few details on Flockaveli 2, an album that will serve as a follow-up to his debut album, Flockaveli. Released on October 5, 2010, Flockaveli aided in launching the rapper’s career and even made its way on to Complex’s “25 Rap Albums From the Past Decade That Deserve Classic Status” list, last year.

But according to Waka, Flockaveli 2 will differ from his debut now that he’s broken into different crowds and genres.
“I’mma show you a different Flockaveli this time,” said Waka. “Way more turned up. Different crowds now. I’m touching different genres. This Flockaveli gon’ be flexin.”
During his interview, Waka also spoke on his tour companion, Steve Aoki, as he referred to the producer as an “electronic” version of himself.
“What I learned from touring with Steve Aoki? That Steve Aoki is like electronic Waka Flocka,” he said. “He just known for turning up. I feel like he do everything I do without vocals. It’s amazing. I respect it.”

While speaking with MTV News at the top of the month, Aoki offered his thoughts on the artists and crew he traveled with during his “Aokify America Tour,” which is scheduled to conclude in Vancouver tomorrow (November 23).
“It’s not only a dynamic crew,” said Aoki. “I mean, the artists, crew that we have on tour, but we all really get along together. We’re all like a family unit. It’s like a traveling circus.”
Flockaveli 2 is currently slated for release next year and will reportedly include guest appearances from Ne-Yo and Drake.
