Following this month’s release of rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s newest mixtape, “From Roaches To Rollies,” the Atlanta emcee appeared on Philadelphia’s Hot 107.9 to discuss his newly-released project, his failed relationship with fellow artist Gucci Mane, and more.

Over the past few months Gucci has made headlines due to his erratic behavior, which included attempting to sell Waka’s recording contract for $1 million via Twitter among numerous other bizarre acts, but according to Waka, the Brick Squad founder’s recent behavior might just be a gimmick.

The Flockaveli rapper also revealed that he fell out with Gucci last year, but kept their falling out from the public eye.

“Man, I been got out of a contract with Gucci…Me and him fell out 2012, but we kept it in house. He the person that spilled the beans.”

Flocka was also asked if Gucci Mane is crazy or bi-polar.

“I feel like it’s a gimmick,” Waka said. “Ain’t nothing crazy about him.”

“Yeah, I wanted to bring it back to the basics,” said the rapper. “A lot of people say, ‘Waka been overseas.’ I just wanted to let ‘em know it’s still in me. Please don’t get it twisted…I just want to take it back down to the element of Waka. Basically, I come from nothing, so I can’t get mad at a person who judge me [before] I first came out. I ain’t know what I was doing. I never used to listen to myself, pay attention, nothing, I just kept it going.”

Waka also offered a handful of details on his Flockaveli 2 LP, which is slated for release early next year. According to the New York City-born artist, the album will include a guest appearance from Ne-Yo and a record with Drake, one he says will be geared towards the ladies.

Lastly, Waka stated that while he doesn’t “rock” with reality shows, he will support fiancée Tammy Rivera who is set to appear on the upcoming season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”

Waka’s “From Roaches To Rollies” mixtape was released on October 4 and features 15 tracks, among those 15 songs is “Ice Cream Cone,” a diss record aimed at Gucci Mane. The release of the mixtape follows the conclusion of the rapper’s lengthy European tour.
