Chris Brown reportedly suffered a seizure today (August 9).

TMZ says that an ambulance was called to Hollywood, California’s Record Plant studio at approximately 1 a.m. in response to a call that the singer suffered a seizure.

Brown reportedly refused to be taken to the hospital and asked not to be treated when EMTs arrived at the studio.

Unnamed sources told TMZ that Brown suffered from seizures as a child. The reported seizure has yet to be confirmed by Chris Brown’s camp, the Los Angeles Fire Department or the record studio.

Brown’s sometimes girlfriend Karrueche Tran tweeted about her thoughts today, though it has not been confirmed if her updates are related to Brown’s health.

Chris Brown’s Twitter account has not been updated in the last 20 hours. HipHopDX contacted Record Plant for a comment on the matter. HipHopDX was told that management was unavailable at press time.

In March, Brown’s frequent collaborator Lil Wayne was hospitalized after suffering from multiple seizures. Brown and Wayne have collaborated on several songs, including “Gimme That (Remix).”

UPDATE: An anonymous rep from Chris Brown’s publicity team told Us Weekly that the singer did indeed suffer a nonepileptic seizure (NES) yesterday (August 9). The rep blamed the incident on fatigue and stress. The statement claimed that Brown was not hospitalized. “[Chris Brown’s] doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the [seizure] to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.”
