Red Bull BC kicked off its North American battle series on April 20 in Houston, Texas and will resume its search for a B-Boy champion in various cities across the country. The qualifying battle series begins with regional cyphers in Houston, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Orlando.

Winners in the regional cypher will compete in the Red Bull BC One National Finals in Houston on August 17, 2013. The National Champion will be flown to Seoul, Korea for the World Finals to compete against the best B-Boys in the world.

B-Boying is one of the main elements of Hip Hop but at times it has gone under the radar. One of the national competitions keeping the movement alive is the Red Bull BC. This year Red Bull BC will mark the 10th time Red Bull has showcased break-dancing with a one on one style.

Champions like Roxrite, Hong 10, Ronnie, Lilou, Neguin, and more have been featured on different media platforms. A film on the competition entitled “Turn It Loose” was released in March 2010. Emcees like Rakaa Iriscience, KRS-ONE, Rahzel, Dughettu have contributed to the international battles that have taken place in countries like Switzerland, Germany, USA, Russia, South Africa, France, Japan, and Brazil.
