Vinnie Paz has released a video titled “Philly” where he represents and explains his love for his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The clip, which is intended to promote his upcoming album God of the Serengeti (October 22nd), features voiceover from Vinnie, who also explains how the city shaped him as a rapper.
“Philly is a big part of who I am. It’s a blue-collar city,” he explains. “It’s a place where people work hard to earn a living. We take pride in getting our hands dirty. Hard work is a part of the culture here. We’re a city that expects our athletes to get their uniforms dirty and our musicians to have soul. People always joke about the connection to Rocky, but that’s what we are: the city of fighters, of hard-working, humble people who do what it takes to provide for their family.”
