FUBU Records / Universal has announced the signing of Detroit-based rapper Drunken Master, whose single “Fifty Playas Deep” is currently the number one song on Detroit urban radio.
Detroit based MC Lola Damone who also recently inked a deal with FUBU Records also appears on the track, which is scheduled for a national release this June. The song is so popular in Detroit that according to his publicist, several top record labels tried to sign Drunken Master as well.
Drunken Master has appeared on records by Kurupt, Redman, Busta Rhymes and Lil’ Zane. His still-untitled debut LP is slated for a release in early 2002.
