The Swollen Members 2011 album, Dagger Mouth has been nominated for a Juno Award in the “Best Rap Recording” category. Up against Drake, Classified, Kardinal Ofishall and D-Sissive, the Vancouver, British Columbia group has reacted to the nomination.
“I’m really proud of this Juno nomination for Dagger Mouth,” said Prevail. “Swollen Members have gone through some trials and tribulations the last few years so to come together and create an album that was purely about artistry and have it be nominated for such a prestigious award is very heartfelt and appreciated.”
“It’s been an extremely rewarding year coming back to the music, both creatively and spiritually,” commented Madchild. “What a great reward and honor to be nominated for a Juno this year! We look forward to the event this March in Ottawa.”
“Prevail, Madchild, and myself are honored to be nominated this year,” added Rob The Viking. “We worked hard to make Dagger Mouth sound exactly how we had envisioned it and it feels amazing to get the recognition for all the blood, sweat and tears we put into it.”
