Ahead of the release of his upcoming debut Cole World: The Sideline Story (September 27th), J. Cole is releasing one of the most highly anticipated tracks from the album as a gift to fans.

Cole took to his Twitter account in the early hours to announce that he will release the self-produced “Mr. Nice Watch” featuring Jay-Z, who he had been chasing for a guest verse for several months.

He also spoke with VIBE.com about the song’s inception, explaining . “Everything worked out, I’m a true believer that everything happens for a reason. Like, when he did that, it made way more sense than my song. It’s a bigger record, a more universal record,” he said. “Being the hip-hop nerd that I am, I would have loved to hear Jay-Z on that [“God’s Gift”] beat. But really, I’m fine on that song alone. “

In addition to Hov appearing on the LP, guests include Missy Elliott on the ’90s-tinged “Nobody’s Perfect,” Trey Songz on the single “Can’t Get Enough” and Drake on the previously released “In the Morning.”
