Drake Says He’s Flattered By “Marvin’s Room” Remixes

During his appearance at OVO Fest last weekend, singer/rapper Drake spoke with Billboard’s The Juice about the feedback he’s received from “Marvin’s Room” as well as the numerous remixes of the song.

Drake revealed that more than anything the remixes of the song were “very flattering.” He also thanked those who chose to jump on the song.

“The writing is doing something to people for them to want to take it and remix it. It’s very flattering, you know. Thank you to anybody that did a remix,” Drake explained. “I hope other songs on the album get reactions like that too. I really, really worked very hard on the writing for this album so I hope it gets a great reaction. I’m excited. It comes out on my birthday so it’d be a nice birthday gift if you go buy it for the boy.”

Following its release in early June “Marvin’s Room” was remixed by the likes of Teyana Taylor, Chris Brown, JoJo, Sammie, and countless other singers.

Take Care will be released on October 24, 2011. The album is a follow-up to last year’s Thank Me Later.

    1. Attn Drake fans…Go to youtube and search for Drake sings “say my name”. Explain how that shits not gay in 3 words or less.

      1. I gotta agree with the word “flattering” being gay. If ur a dude that isnt rich and from England you should never be caught saying the words “Flattering” or “Marvelous” or “Fabolous”.

      2. Fabulous is a gay rapper name. I mean I know Fabulous isn’t gay but you gotta admit if a new rapper came out with the name fabulous you would think hes suspect. Yall got to remember Drake grew up in the suburbs, jewish. Is Drake gay?, I dont know, know-one does so whats the point on claiming some shit you dont know for sure. I know Rihanna let him hit atleast once so respect. I just think Drake is soft…

    2. Attention: Drake Haters. Make sure to click on a Drake article, watch the video, and then leave a hate comment. If you need an example, take your pick from Below.

    3. I really give Drake the utmost respect for all that he does. Hip hop has always been very homophobic so it takes courage to go against the grain and live an openly gay lifestyle in this genre. Keep doing your thing Drake. Were listening.
