Now that the Harry Potter franchise is coming to an end, one star is looking to use his free time to launch his career as a rapper. Tom Felton, who plays villain Draco Malfoy in the flicks, has proclaimed that he wants to begin recording under his rap alias.

“I was thinking of doing some N-Dubz-style stuff. I am looking to get into the grime rap UK scene,” he told The Sun. “I’m going to change my image – backward caps, the lot. […] It’s still under wraps so I can’t really talk about it.”

Though it’s unclear if the actor was simply being facetious, he has struck a recording deal with an independent label to put out his first album. In the meantime, the 23-year-old is promoting the final Harry Potter film, Deathly Hallows: Part 2, in theaters this Friday.

UPDATE: As suspected, Tom Felton has denied that his comments were serious and that he has no intentions of starting a rap career.

“Apparently I’m going to take the I’m UK grime scene by storm. I have no idea what they’re talking about,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I can only think that it was an attempt at dry wit that went completely over their head. I don’t know. Needless to say, I’m not planning on taking the UK grime scene by storm.”
