It will reportedly cost $10 million to renovate the 40/40 Club in Manhattan and Jay-Z has been an integral part of this change. Jay has been such an important part of this renovation that he has also appointed his personal chef, Mike Shand, the new Executive Chef of the club.
Chef Mike Shand is now in charge of the menu. He landed the position after being Jay’s personal chef for years. In a recent interview with TMZ, a representative for Shand spoke about why Jigga selected him.
“[Jay-Z] knew that Mike would be able to improve upon the current menu in ways that had the Jay-Z seal of approval because many are dishes that he eats himself on a daily basis,” the rep noted.
