Young Money rapper/singer Drake is one of several celebrities that will help kick off MTV’s brand new news show titled The Seven.

“MTV has played a pivotal part in my career from the beginning and I look forward to being a part of ‘The Seven’ from the start,” said Drake in a statement.

The Seven, which will debut on September 27 at 5 p.m., will feature the top seven news stories of the day. Singer/actor Justin Timberlake and the rest of the cast from the film The Social Network will also appear on the debut of The Seven.

The debut of The Seven follows the cancellation of several MTV shows that featured artist appearances including Total Request Live and It’s On With Alexa Chung.

Earlier this month Drake served as a performer at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. The rapper is currently working on his latest project, the R&B mixtape It’s Never Enough
