Sedgwick & Cedar, a clothing brand celebrating innovations of multiple genres, has recently announced a new collection that celebrates the birth and expansion of Hip Hop culture. Their new line, “Planet Rock,” is named after Afrika Bambaataa’s 1982 record that helped bring Hip Hop into the forefront of universal consciousness.
The clothing line highlights the contributions to Hip Hop from five cities: New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Tokyo. The limited edition shirts feature historical symbols of Hip Hop from each of these locations.
Sedgwick & Cedar is named after the streets recognized for holding the first Hip Hop house parties in the Bronx New York in 1973.
