While Max B may be serving a 75-year prison sentence for his role in a fatal robbery last September, this week he scored a victory that will finally give him control over his music.

On Wednesday, a judge ruled that Dipset member and former associate Jim Jones no longer maintains a hold on the incarcerated rapper’s music and that all contractual obligations were fulfilled.

Max B recorded an album with Amalgam Digital called Vigilante Season, but claims he could not release it because Jones’ legal team sustained that he was still under contract. Although the album was recorded over a year and a half ago, it is still scheduled to release sometime this year.
