A lot of hip-hop heads often complain about not being able to see a good concert more than once a year. Well my friends, here is a major reason why hip-hop concerts are few and far between. On August 11th KKBT-FM-The Beat, held its annual Summer Jam 2002 concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California featuring some of today’s hottest R & B and hip-hip acts. During LL Cool J performance a fight broke out and spilled onto the stage where he was performing. The security for the event were having difficultly controlling the crowd so they called for backup.
Six different police and deputy agencies arrived on the scene and evacuated the crowd. Three people suffered slight injuries while one person was taken to the hospital. The artists line-up for the event were Snoop Dogg, Mystical, Tweet, Trick Daddy, Trina, LL Cool J, Amerie, Dave Hollister, Truth Hurts, Nelly, The Murder Inc. Family and others. The Summer Jam event began at 12 pm and was scheduled to last the entire day.
