Hip Hop holds three of the top five spots on the billboard and soundscan charts this week with some of the summer’s smash albums. With his club banger “Hot In Herre” from his sophomore album “Nellyville”, Nelly is proving that he has what it takes to be “Number One”. Nelly has taken over the number one spot on the billboard 200 charts with sales of 714,114 in his first week. After the smash success of “Country Grammar”, Nelly and the St. Lunatics are definintely keeping St. Louis on the map. Still holding a top spot with his third album “The Eminem Show”, Eminem comes in at Number 2 this week after dropping the album on May 28th.

Eminem saw additional sales of 307,790 to bring his total album sales to 36 million copies. Coming in at number 3 this week is NORE with his third solo album God’s Favorite with a total of 118,000 copies sold in the first week. NORE is enjoying much airplay with his single “Nuthin” featuring Pharell of the Neptunes blowing up radio stations nationwide with heavy video rotation on MTV and BET. Other notable mentions are Will Smith with “Born to Reign” at number 13, Wyclef Jean pulled in another 43,000 units with his album “Masquerade” and Cormega’s “True Meaning” landed at 95.
