Hip Hop Week In Review: Young Thug, Kanye West, Lil Wayne

    Young Thug dominated Hip Hop headlines this week with the change of his mixtape title Carter 6 to Barter 6 and an controversy surrounding his ongoing rift with his idol Lil Wayne. On another continent, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had their daughter North West baptized in Israel just days ahead of Ye’s splash-down performance in Armenia.

    Finally, 50 Cent offered up payment in verse-form to settle up a million dollar boxing wager he made with Webbie last year.

    Young Thug Disses Lil Wayne & Young Money

    Despite responding positively to Lil Wayne’s recent diss, Young Thug appears to have changed his tune towards Weezy and Young Money.

    On April 12, Thug uploaded a video to Instagram that features various clips of him performing while a woman narrates some shots at Wayne and his imprint.

    “Big killa, young nigga, young fucking money…fuck you I kill you,” she says.

    Young Thug Changes Mixtape Title To Barter 6

    Young Thug renamed his new mixtape to Barter 6 just days before its official release yesterday.

    In addition to switching the title, Thugga took to Instagram to announce that his first show, following the album’s release, will be in Hollygrove, Louisiana, Lil Wayne’s hometown.

    “YSL Carter 6 coming out Friday,” Thug said in a recent Instagram video. “First show, New Orleans, Hollygrove fuck nigga, meet me there, better yet beat me there.”

    Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Baptize North West In Israel

    Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had their daughter, North West, baptized at Saint James Cathedral in the Israeli capital Jerusalem on Tuesday (April 14).

    A video shows the scene as it took place outside the Cathedral. Reporters, cameraman and fans surrounded the family as they entered the church. They exited the church in an orderly fashion, with the assistance of security.
