Young Thug has responded to a video of Lil Wayne in which Wayne disses Young Thug.

“Y’all let him know I said, ‘Fuck ‘em,’” Wayne said during his “Release Partiez” tour stop in Jackson, Mississippi yesterday (April 9). Wayne’s comments were followed by the sound of gun shots from the DJ booth. 

“Stop listening to songs of niggas who pose naked on their motherfucking album covers,” Wayne conitnued.

Wayne’s naked comment is likely alluding to  Thug’sTha Carter 6album art, on which Young Thug posed naked.

Young Thug responded to Wayne in an Instagram post today (April 10). 

“I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career and I feel him on that, but this is my idol,” Young Thug says. “I would never in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person that I look up to. Ha Ha.”

Young Thug then sticks his tongue out as the video ends.

Lil Wayne has released four editions of his Tha Carter series of albumsTha Carter V was scheduled to be released last year, but Cash Money Records has held onto the project.

Wayne has subsequently sued the imprint, to which Young Thug is also signed.
