    1. LMFAO Azaelia Banks selling more in 4 days than Stalley in a whole week with Rick Ross and Lebron promoting the album.

    2. Buhahahaha Azaelia Banks outsold Stalley and Joe Budden in the same week! BUhahahahaha Not that she did good numbers but just enough to outsell these two fuckbois!!!

      1. Stalley has no business being a rapper. He isn’t original, hes not charismatic, he’s not a good rapper, he doesn’t even have any gimmick to make him interesting. Not surprised he didn’t sell

      2. plus she dropped with no promo out of no where halfway thru the week, her 4 days sales crushed stalley and buddens 7 days sales

      3. @Anonymous I don’t think I was cheering for Stalley in my comment, I was actually making fun of him and Budden getting mopped by A. Banks whack ass

    3. Damn, Joey. White people used to love Joe Buddens in the 2000’s with the Mood Music bullshit. Now he’s just a nigga to these new white boys who want hipster rap.

    4. Speaking of stalley, where is his album?

I heard Omarion dropping a digital album on december 2nd which is probably going to be another flop along with Suburban Fraud (I know, its hood billionaire but suburban fraud fits better because 1. He ain’t from the hood, he from Oakland Estates and 2. He’s lying about being a billionaire.

    5. Foo Fighters (Roswell/RCA) 180-200k
      Pink Floyd (Columbia) 140-160k
      Garth Brooks (Pearl/RCA Nashville) 125-145k
      Big K.R.I.T. (Def Jam) 35-40k
      Nick Jonas (Island) 35-40k
      Damien Rice (Warner Bros.) 20-25k
      Whitney Houston (RCA) 18-22k
      Tenth Avenue North (Provident) 13-15k
      Zac Brown Band (Atlantic) 12-14k
      Machine Head (Nuclear Blast) 12-14k
      New Basement Tapes (Harvest) 12-14k

    6. at Garth Brooks performance. He’s fallen the fuck off. He should have stayed retired. Ross gonna beat the shit out of him in sales.

      And Whitney bombing too.

      1. Weak diamond? Lol you’re reaching big time for an excuse to call a bunch of diamond albums a failure. It’s still a success and even if Garth goes gold at the most, it’ll be more than Ross.

      2. What is your obsession with artists buying their own records? That doesn’t happen a lot. If they did, they would probably only buy around 50 copies and give them to fans for free.

      3. Some do that behind the scenes. How do you think taylor manages to have sales over a million and not any other pop artist?

      4. Do what, buy 50 copies and give them away for free? Also, Taylor Swift has a huge dedicated fanbase, that’s how she did over a million.

    7. Banks dissing Eminem when her album is called “broke with expensive tastes” sold 11 thousand fucking copies on her debut

      lolz

    8. Weak diamond? Lol you’re reaching big time for an excuse to call a bunch of diamond albums a failure. It’s still a success and even if Garth goes gold at the most, it’ll be more than Ross.

Ross is guarenteed to go very strong gold or even platinum this time around. He’s got tons of buzz. Garth Brooks had tons of promotion and still bombed. Brooks fallen the fuck off.

      1. Please. Ross is never going gold or platinum with his new album since the last one didn’t even reach gold. His buzz is dead. Brooks doesn’t have tons of promo and he ain’t bombing or falling off. Do you say this to every artist who isn’t your favorites, even the ones who achieve success.

      2. No such thing as strong or weak when it comes to RIAA certifications. You don’t even know what you’re talking about.

      3. Christmas is a time where album sales are at its strongest. Ross is going at least gold with this. Brooks had tons of promo and even his compilation cd’s did better than new material. Brook’s buzz is dead. In fact, if he would have stayed retired, his brand would be a lot stronger right now.

      4. Christmas is not gonna save Ross. He’s not going gold with his new release, especially when his last release was months ago and it din’t sell gold. Garth Brooks did not have a ton of promo and his buzz isn’t dead. The guy is already one of the most successful artists of all time. He doesn’t have to do big numbers because he already did them.

    9. Garth Brooks said himself he isn’t going to watch the charts because he doesn’t care if its a hit or not. He has nothing left to prove.

    10. Ariana’s first album was RNB but the current album is pop… Not sure how she fits in the urban music list with that particular CD.

It will be interesting to see if Trey and Chris B. will see an increase in sales after the tour starts next month.

    11. I was gonna say you guys left off Kem, Aretha, and Danity Kane ….. but then I remembered the people that run this blog don’t actually know anything about urban music and were just hired b/c of experence with other publications that wer not urban.

    12. Game off the charts already can someone confirm if he got past the 50k mark haha & can someone confirm if Stally got past the 15k mark

    13. Do what, buy 50 copies and give them away for free? Also, Taylor Swift has a huge dedicated fanbase, that’s how she did over a million.

I mean they buy sales for themselves online. Just like Taylor Swift.

      1. That makes no sense. No artist buys a bunch of their albums for themselves. When will you accept that these artists (Taylor Swift included) have dedicated fanbases who buys their albums? Your comments are illogical and biased.

    14. flopper house is such a flop. Eminem cant build carreers like drake does. All of drakes affiliates sold more than joe budden hahahaha

      1. Wheelchair Jimmy did not push Kendrick into the mainstream.

“Without that song, his album would have flopped big.”

Wrong. That song with Drake was released as a single after GKMC was out (which succeeded) and that song wasn’t even Kendrick’s most successful single.

Swimming Pools=#17 on the Hot 100, certified platinum
Poetic Justice=#26 on the Hot 100, certified gold

    15. “He’s not going gold with his new release”

Hasn’t his track record shown you that all he needs to do is 300K and he’s on to the next one?

      1. Because Nas is a crossover artist, unlike Ross. 350k is terrible for some mainstream rap act. 300k for a true hiphop artist like ross is great by today’s standards.

      2. That’s because Nas flopped so hard Def Jam tried to keep him off the schedule as long as possible. Ross on the other hand had his most popular album to date and fans wanted another album this year.

      3. “Because Nas is a crossover artist, unlike Ross. 350k is terrible for some mainstream rap act. 300k for a true hiphop artist like ross is great by today’s standards.”

You got that backwards. It’s Nas who’s true hip-hop while Ross is mainstream/crossover.

“That’s because Nas flopped so hard Def Jam tried to keep him off the schedule as long as possible. Ross on the other hand had his most popular album to date and fans wanted another album this year.”

Nas didn’t flop, he sold the same nubers as Ross, who didn’t have his most popular album to date and the people didn’t want another album from him. Ross’ album flopped so hard, he had todo another one to make up for that one.

      4. “Ross on the other hand had his most popular album to date”

Yes, his most popular album to date that didn’t even sell 400K total.

    16. Who was the genius who figured out that if you took all of the musicians off the songs that play on black radio and put everybody over the same music, drums, beats and had everyone say nigga at least 76 times on each song that people would still want to go out and by their albums and not just download their one cute 1 dimensional song? That includes trinidad james, young dro, chief keef, bobby schumrda, jeezy, weekend, and the rest of these corny fucks who sing the same damn song with the same one word lyrics.

    17. Azealia sold almost 12,000! Impressive for an album that was released unannounced and from a independent artist with no Major Label marketing!

    18. And what’s with that lame ass big sean song with e 40? It’s being played on the radio all the damn time and its at no.15 on the billboard charts? This sounds like some payola shit right here.

      1. nope

people are buying the song on iTunes and requesting it on the radio and in the clubs that’s why

payola talk is almost as bad as illuminati in rap talk…

    19. (white)america has stopped supporting most black artist.
especially those black artist that have a white ‘clones’.
don’t need to buy the album of the black dude when i can buy the white dude’s album.he looks like me and i can relate to him more.

      nicki’s white clone iggy,etc….

      just an observation!!!

    20. Wrong. That song with Drake was released as a single after GKMC was out (which succeeded) and that song wasn’t even Kendrick’s most successful single.

Swimming pools came out after drake gave kendrick the push on poetic justice.

Kind of like how john legend b enefitted greatly from the appearance from ross on the first single from his latest album so he used that to his advantage for all of me.

      1. You really don’t get how shit works. Poetic Justice was released after the success of Swimming Pools. Drake didn’t give any push.

Also, John Legend didn’t benefit from Ross, who had nothing to do with his success.

      2. Poetic Justice was never leaked at all. Swimming Pools was released before anyone has even heard of Poetic Justice. Quit trying to twist the facts and time.

      3. A song that was never released as a single. Drake didn’t help Kendrick to success, dude was already successful.

    21. I wonder how well the Beauty of Independence EP sellng at Best Buy cause it was only available to buy in stores Nov10th and last time i checked it was ain’t 26K digital only

    22. nope

people are buying the song on iTunes and requesting it on the radio and in the clubs that’s why

payola talk is almost as bad as illuminati in rap talk…

Big Sean definitely used payola for that wack e-40 single because no one I know talks about big sean.

      1. nope he threw 4 songs online and one started to blow up…

ooooo so because no one you know talks about big sean that means it HAS to be payola….

so your peoples is talking about taylor swift all day right?

    23. IGGY AZALEA – The New Classic : 391,971
      RICK ROSS – Mastermind : 367,000
      SCHOOLBOY Q – Oxymoron : 331,895
YOUNG JEEZY – Seen It All : 226,088
      AUGUST ASLINA – Testimony : 206,258
      WIZ KHALIFA – Blacc Hollywood : 189,701

      LECRAE – Anomaly : 173,765
KID INK – My Own Lane : 153,000
      FUTURE – Honest : 118,000

It should be important to note that Eminem still outsold them all with over 500k copies of MMLP 2 sold this year so far.

    24. if you aint bought the LOX Trinity 2 u aint know shit bout supporting real hip hop and that mixtape they dropped is crazy

    25. I Know MOP Street Certified Will Do Good There Album Drops On The 18th I Pre-Ordered it & The Trinity 2 Was Crazy Along With Stalley Ohio It’s True Support Hip Hop When you Can Because If It Fades Away Due To Lack Of Support It Will Be A Sad Day For Hip Hop!!

    26. “You clown on Nas for selling 350k off his last album, but give Ross a pass for selling 300k?”

That’s cause Nas used to sell millions. For him to sell 300k now is terrible. For Ross it’s passable cause he’s never sold millions, so if he keeps selling adequate #’s it’s a win for MMG.

      1. For him to sell 300k now after all these years is amazing! Who else that came out in 1994 is still selling like that? 20 years strong still putting up numbers in the digital age.
