Hip Hop Album Sales: Migos, Future & Drake

Migos appears on the Billboard Top 200 chart with its debut album YRN: Yung Rich Nation. Future’s Dirty Sprite 2 is the highest-selling Rap album for the third week in a row. Comedian and rapper Lil Dicky debuts in the top 10. Drake surpassed Meek Mill for the first time since the Philadelphia rapper’s Dreams Worth More Than Money was released. Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly and A$AP Rocky’s At.Long.Last.A$AP fell out of this week’s top 10 Rap and R&B albums.

Migos Debuts in the Top 20

Migos’ debut album, YRN: Yung Rich Nation, lands at the # 17 spot on the chart. The project saw 18,082 units of total activity and sold 14,596 albums. The group’s mixtapes have more than one million downloads between the projects.

Future’s Dirty Sprite 2 Still Tops the Charts

Dirty Sprite 2 remains at the #2 spot for the second week in a row. Future was dethroned by Jill Scott in last week’s album sales, but now sits behind the Descendants soundtrack. Dirty Sprite 2 moved 37,013 total units this week.

    Drake Passes Meek Mill

Drake’s If Youre Reading This Its Too Late passes Meek Mill’s Dreams Worth More Than Money for the #10 spot on the chart. The Philadelphia rapper’s project debuted at #1 five weeks ago and this is the first week it fell out of the top 10. The two rappers have been feuding after Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter. None of the diss tracks released are included in the album sales numbers.

    1. I’m glad to see the migos getting in for once people hate on these lil locs but they showing muthafuckaz

      1. Fantastic Four didn’t even make $30 million at the box office and got beaten by Mission Impossible. It’s a flop. Bumplay did not sell 400K. He doesn’t have enough fans to sell that much. He barely sold enough to make it on the charts. He flopped, end of story.

    2. Funny how Meek Mill said that he had outgrown Philadelphia and he was finished with going back to the hood there. Then attempts to claim those same streets and city when Drake murked him on wax. He moved all the way to California to get away from the streets of Philadelphia. He’s a big contradiction. Fake like Nick Minaj.

      1. It’s funny how you make up things just to make a comment on HIpHopdx. So who’s really fake? We don’t know you Bc your just a name on a comment section. He didn’t move to Cali because he’s still on probation. Where do you get this info? I know where. You just made it up in your head. Just listen to the music and stop getting personal with a rapper who cares nothing about you.

      2. ^
Meek got permission to move from Philadelphia. Don’t get mad because he ain’t loyal to his city. Anybody reading this can Google his interviews spewing out his hatred for Philadelphia and asking the courts to let him move.

    3. Gunplay moved 4,000 units? I’m surprised migos didn’t move at least 30,000 units. What did chief keef do, I’m sure his streaming numbers weren’t great because bang 3 isn’t on spotify or beats.

    4. people, meek is on tour. if he was on probation he wouldnt be able to leave the state let alone the country! future shit finna go platinum before meeks. hes lucky he killed the beef or his rap career would of been disposed of.
