Fivio Foreign Reveals His Pick For Greatest Brooklyn Rapper Of All Time

During a recent sitdown with Angie Martinez to celebrate the release of his debut album B.I.B.L.E., Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign was asked to name the top rapper from his hometown, and he didn’t hesitate to answer.

“Hov,” Fivio said quickly when asked to speak on the best rapper from Brooklyn. “Of all time? Hov.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Fivio said rap OG’s of all forms have continued to reach out and be a constant source of support for him during his come-up. He shouted out Meek Mill, Maino, Nicki Minaj and even Eve, who spoke with the rapper prior to his appearance on her show Queens.

Apparently, the cameras distressed the Brooklyn lyricist, and so to calm his nerves he took a shot before going live. Eve told Fivio she used to do the same thing in order to calm her nerves, but in the end, she suggested Fivio stop relying on drugs to settle him because he would become indebted to them.

“She was like, it’s not helping you, cause you’re really gonna always need it and it wears and tears on you,” Fivio recalled.

He also said from a business standpoint that Ye was a massive source of advice and inspiration, and that he didn’t even need to ask him anything.

“I just would sit there and observe, I observe. He never really need to tell me nothing. I just see. Cause he be doing like a thousand things at once…as he’s recording.”

Fivio Foreign dropped B.I.B.L.E. on Friday (April 8). The project features appearances from Quavo, KayCyy, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Queen Najia, Coi Leray, Chlöe, A$AP Rocky, Lil Yachty, Lil Tjay, Yung Bleu, DJ Khaled, Vory, Polo G, Blueface and Ne-Yo.
