Fat Joe Signs With Roc Nation

Fat Joe has reason to celebrate even before his Plata o Plomo album with Remy Ma comes out next month. The Terror Squad rapper signed a management deal with Roc Nation, according to a press release.

The New York rapper was posted up on his Instagram wearing the signature Roc Nation paper plane hat at the end of last year, but now his partnership with the house that Hov built is official.

This is another step past Fat Joe and Jay Z’s longstanding beef, which was publicly put to rest when Jigga appeared on the “All the Way Up” remix last year.

Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s Plata o Plomo album is due out February 10 and the duo is also nominated for two Grammys for “All the Way Up.” The winners will be announced two days after the LP drops.

    1. Jay sure likes to sign his former enemies, first Nas then Fat Joe (there was some altercation between TS and Hov’s crew back in the day). That’s his way of keepin them in check, makin them their bitches.

    2. Congrats to Joe Crack on signing with Roc Nation but posting pictures, features on tracks, or any affiliation with French Montana whatsoever with results in an automatic “L”.

    3. why is jay signing all these old washed up bums? The Remy album gonna flop. That new LOX album sold like 7000 copies. Jim Jones was just seen at the Roc offices as well and we all know theres no money to be made with JOMO.. I THOUGHT ALL THESE RAPPERS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BOSSES! WHY THEY BOWING DOWN TO JAY?

      1. 1st off you a crab. But I do understand the Jim Jones comment, his ego kills any momentum he ever gets. But i want to point out that he can put together a great sounding album. I would love to see Jim take a behind the scenes role and exec produce / beat selection on a hungry young bulls album, I think thats his calling but he too busy trying to shine in front the camera. Looking back he should have immediately locked Stacks Bundles and Max B in the studio together and have them put out a joint project to launch their careers ala Rich Gang where he selects the beats and steers the whole project after P O M E came out. But instead he comes out with Harlem American Gangster smfh .. ego kills. anyway thats my $.02 Go fuck your self

    4. Roc Nation must be in desperate need of some new tax write offs. That’s the only plausible explanation for the recents signings of Yo Gotti, The LOX, and now Fat Joe.

      1. Yo Got to has dropped at least one smash hit every summer for the past six summers, so I have no idea what your talking bout in reference to him

        1. Name the hits and the years then. And since you said “smash hit”, they better be Top 40 hits, not that “hits for the streets” bullshit.

    5. yall niggas stupid, they still making hits in their career, so they still getting deals…. just like when ballers get that bag for an outstanding performance, same goes in music.

    6. This is straight biz move. Sign Gotti, Lox and Fat Joe so now them and all their affiliates will drop music on tidal. Dont matter if they all sell its the collection that make tidal look good so Jay can sell it. All this is to make tidal look good to sell to the highest bidder.

    7. Everyone copies each other few years ago everyone wanted be down with cash money! Now looks like roc these guys won’t like jay taking a cut.

    8. This reminds me of wrestling in the late 90’s when WCW was signing all them old ass, past their prime, twilight years, has been wrestlers. Put these guys out to pasture….

    9. why all this great old rappers signing to their peer ,guys must learn from the past,be their own bosses, fat joe or lox dont need no signing ,thy are great already

    10. on some real shit, i used to bump that lean back playing on need for speed underground 2 and sly boogy thatz my name haha

    11. What some of ya’ll don’t understand is that roc nation is more than a “record label”, and considering the businesses that jay z setup over the last 3-4 years, most would/should understand, that any artist that signs to his company, associating themselves with his brand, they have more to gain than they do to lose. artists are signing to his management company to release music through his streaming service (which pays artists more than other streaming companys, where you can release music at your will – NO ONE BUYS ALBUMS), and he’s offering artists the opportunity to own their own masters, their artistry — why would fat joe, rihanna, fabolous, marron 5, and all of these other artists that are or aren’t “washed up and past their prime” be signing with him over all these other company’s? he just be doing something right.
