Eem Triplin invited a fan on stage during a show last week, but things didn’t go as planned.

On Wednesday (June 14), the Pennsylvania native performed at the Citizens House of Blues in Boston with $NOT. During his set, he brought out a fan to share the stage and mic with him, except things took an ugly turn soon after.

That same night, an attendee tweeted a video from the crowd that showed the fan throwing up in front of Triplin just as he was about to start rapping. “AINT NOT WAY,” he captioned the video of the incident.

The “Awkward Freestyle” rapper himself retweeted the clip, writing, “man tha kid begged me the whole show to bring em up to perform this song [crying emoji]. tha drank got the best of em. all love to him tho [crying emoji, heart emoji]”

The fan was escorted off stage by security after he failed to recover from the mishap. As far as celebrity interactions go, this is easily one of the worst slip-ups on record.

However, some fans have also blown away artists with their skill.

In a Twitter video posted on Wednesday (June 7), a freestyling fan can be seen getting recruited by KRS-One to spit his rhymes for the legend’s critique.

Conscious rappers are often credited with the use of “Supreme Mathematics” — first introduced by the Nation of Islam — alongside the “Supreme Alphabet,” both of which give qualitative and quantitative (as opposed to simply quantitative) values to letters and numbers.

And the freestyle continued for another three minutes, getting more intense with each second, until the crowd exploded in cheers and KRS-One couldn’t help but smile in excitement.
