Drake Disses Kanye West During Chicago Concert

It looks like Drake is still harboring some resentment over Pusha T’s scathing diss track “The Story Of Adidon.” But, instead of taking another shot at the G.O.O.D. Music president, he went at his boss — Mr. Kanye West.

During the Chicago stop of the Aubrey & The Three Amigos Tour on Saturday (August 18), Drake swapped a line in “Know Yourself” to say “Then Kanye flopped” instead of “Then Kanye dropped.”

Drake is likely referencing West’s latest solo album, ye, which was released in June. Although it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 85,000 total album equivalent units in its first week, it yielded a lukewarm response from fans and critics alike.

On the other hand, Drake’s Scorpion — which dropped June 29 and also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — sold roughly 732,000 total album equivalent units in its first week. It not only went platinum on the day of its release, but it also remained in the the No. 1 spot for five consecutive weeks.

In addition, it broke numerous streaming records, including Apple Music’s single-day record, which Drake had previously set with 2017’s More Life.

For now, it looks like the ball is in ‘Ye’s court — if he even wants to play.

      1. Drake had as many good songs as ye Had on his 7 song album.. what does that say.. that man & Nicki albums were trash . Period

      1. OVO mafia? Are you actually comparing Aubrey to a mob boss? How emotionally weak are you to even say something like that? It’s cowards like you that give your generation no chance for any kind of real success.

    1. Yes, Kanye did flop compared to his previous albums. And tried to get the fake drug dealer Pusha T to destroy my boo Drake by giving him inside information, but it ended up backfiring. All the GOOD Music albums flopped. Scorpion sold more in its first week than all those album’s first weeks combined. Now that’s bad luck, Pusha. Yuuuggh! Going to Drizzy’a concert tomorrow, I pray he slaps my hand.

    2. Drake the only dude on OVO doing anything, which is better than the spread that Kanye shares with his artists. Ye’s known for being generous, Drake, not so much…

    3. BOTH THESE DUDES CORNY. Record sales mean NOTHING when it comes to Hip Hop except that white people buy it…it doesn’t make it dope music.

      1. The few singles that dropped fore the album did the ‘plat thing’ while 732,000 official first week numbers.

        1. Thanks Kanyon and Haywood.. That methodology they use now is absolutely retarded. Might was well go back to older albums and add single sales to the overall album sales if that’s the case.

      2. It was certified platinum because the RIAA counted the sales of a couple Scorpion singles that had been released for stream/purchase several months before the album dropped. 732k is a bullshit number too, an overwhelming majority of that was just kids streaming a handful of singles on repeat over and over again.

    4. They’re both utterly useless human beings. Rap music would be better wo the two of them (especially Drake’s emo self).

    5. I think Drake more pissed with Kanye than Pusha anyway as he had a friendship with Kanye and he probably feel more some type of way with the way Ye betrayed him and gave all the dirt to Pusha. Where y’all think Pusha got that private info from, apparently Ye was the only one who knew about the kid and shit

      1. Pusha T has been connected at the highest level in this industry since he came out 16 years ago. He was a successful artist working exclusively under the hottest production team of that era. You know how many people he met and how many connections he made during that time? Now he runs Kanye’s label, another person who is one of the most successful producers of multiple eras. He has his own deal with Adidas and his own connections within that company, he rubs shoulders with all types of people in high places. You think information doesn’t make its way to that dude without Kanye? You really think Kanye was the only one who knew about the kid and Adidas deal, or the only one to hear March 14 in advance? Come on. It’s too convenient to say Kanye is the one who gave him that info, bc it takes it makes Drake look like a victim and Kanye look like a snake. But, once you remember Drake took the gloves off and went hard on Kanye first before Adidon was even recorded, then you remember Drake is not a victim and he’s the one who escalated this shit.

    6. Drake is a coward! Not responding to pusha t but having the nerve to say flopped… how about you flopped because you can’t answer pusha t sucka! Even Kanye would destroy this clown called Drake!!

    7. Drake so emotional. Did he forget Kanye told Pusha to leave him alone because Kanye want everybody to get along like a damn after school special? Drake should thank Kanye for cancelling Pushas surgical summer. And Drake should thank God he managed to get away even though Pusha went at his mom, dad, best friend, label, exposed him on black face and not being a father for his child. Drake might sing some dope hooks. But he is a wack dude irl. And he’s holding everybody on OVO back. Smh. This is your hero? Foh

      1. Still waiting for pusha to give actual bars though, Duppy freestyle had undisputably more bars than pusha response. And litearlly everyone who calls that out gets this response by default, because yall dont wanna accept facts.

        1. What do you mean by actual bars? Push took the story telling approach. Are you telling me story telling isnt bars? Drakes diss was a whole lot of bragging nothingness over a saxophone beat. And as far as facts goes, Pusha brought plenty. So much facts Drake had to rewrite lines on scorpion.

    8. Let’s be honest Drake is on Top right now hate it, love it, don’t care about, fine but every rapper gets help with writing songs unless they are Tupac lol 4 real. But out of that G.O.O.D. music 7 track album thing Pusha T put the best album out of all them and I’m not even really a fan of him but heard 2 songs and I was like damn! I expected more out of Nas but his spot in Hip Hop is Always at The stop among Lyricists or right next to it. As far as Kanye, the album with Cudi was better than YE

      1. On Top of some dude you mean? You must approve the black face. I guess good songs will make your forget about slave jokes.

    9. pusha L n Trump Ye lucky OG J Prince saved them as Drake is too BIG and too dope to fail, diss you in your city n fans will cheer, still winning even without a reply.

      1. Dude, you really gonna act like the black face was okay? So it’s okay to mock slavery? And you’re still supporting this guy even Pusha called him on his character. You mean to tell me his music is so good, you chose to ignore the fact that he think the death of your ancestors and the mockery of black people was worth taking a picture. And don’t tell me he did it for “The Black Cause”. You don’t even believe that shit. I hope you ain’t black, if you are that’s a damn shame.

        1. pusha TMZ was just spreading bs to sell his album son, woulda bn news worthy if Drake was white. Digging up an old photo when Drake was trying to send a positive message, Drake has done more for black people than he ever would.

      1. So if Kanye went #1 and sold more than Nicki in first week sales, what does Drake have to say about Nicki’s album?

    10. Real Talk Kanye jealous of Drake success recently, member him complaining bout radio playing too much “For Free” by Drake

    11. Aubrey you had your chance to diss Pusha and Kanye but you chose otherwise. All these little slick, sneak disses are not even cool now.

      1. You know Push wouldn’t even have the Storu of Addidon if Kanye didn’t tell him the info he needed right? That’s why Push isn’t and likely will never be the main target.

        1. There’s 0 proof Kanye gave him that info, and even if he did, Drake went at Kanye first on Duppy for no reason other than the fact he produced a track that Pusha sent shots on. A producer producing his artist’s album where they happen to take shots at somebody is not a good enough reason to threaten to end them and talk shit about them the way Drake did on Duppy. He opened the can of worms and made it 10 times worse by dragging Kanye into it and getting personal with Pusha (when Pusha’s always dissed him about music and not personal shit). This whole notion that “Pusha was never the target” is bs, they’ve been sniping for years and never dragged Kanye into it. Drake crossed that line once he dropped Duppy and didn’t keep it strictly about Pusha. And if you think Pusha wouldn’t have still put out a nasty response to Duppy without that info, you’re a fool. Take out the part about the Adidas rollout and the confirmation of a public rumor and you still have Pusha going at all his insecurities that he freely shares with the world in his music, his mom, his dad, his racial identity and the fact that he uses his dad to confirm his blackness, his best friend, the blackface pic Drake thought would never see the light of day (oh, i guess kanye gave him that too. lol, pusha t has connections). Pusha’s reply was still going to shit on him. This “kanye is the main target” is a deflection to favor Drake, it gives Drake a pass to go after the non-lyrical, non-battle dude who will never release a diss track instead of the lyrical dude he knows is elite and has a problem with him. How are you going to go at the dude who produced the track instead of the dude who has the actual problem with you and talked shit about you? Keep believing that bullshit. Drake’s not dumb, even if Adidon didn’t expose the things it did, he was always going to shift the focus on Kanye and avoid squaring up with just Pusha T bc he knows that’s not an easy fight. Most of Duppy was about Kanye and Kanye hadn’t really even done anything to him yet, he barely went at the dude who was actually talking shit about him. Adidon made it convenient for his fans to call Kanye a snake and say he’s the real target, but they forgot he started this shit with Kanye first and for no reason.

      2. I mean, I called it when it was obvious he wasn’t going to respond to Adidon. I knew he wouldn’t hit back and then would be all passive aggressive about it on his album. 8 out of 10 is so weak, it’s the “you’re lucky my friend held me back and i’m a good guy” kids anthem. pump faking at its best. and he’s clearly obsessed bc he took subliminal shots on his album, on that highly publicized “freestyle” video that came out after scorpion, now at shows. and these kids see nothing wrong with this shit, it’s sad. gone are the days where there was no coming back from an L like the Adidon L and if you did try to continue your career, you better not say slick shit or make eye contact with the person who deaded you, just pretend it didn’t happen. Dudes get passes for anything now.

    12. I’m not surprised Drake attacking a black man, jevvs are the most racist “people” on the planet. To Drake and his tribe Kanye is just another worthless schwartz goyim.

      1. Facts. Tired of these fake rappers getting the light of day and they don’t deserve the shit. And all these motherfuckas supporting him basically supporting the devil. Because that picture alone shows what team he is on. I guess good sensative songs will make his fans suck doodoo out of Drake ass as long as it sounded good. Sick people, I tell ya.

    13. When I grow up, I hope I have a woman as loyal as Drake’s fanbase. They will support him through everything. Getting your ass handed to you in a battle, taking a shot at the other rapper’s wife that warranted the tongue lashing to begin with, getting slapped up by record execs in public, getting pissed on by another rapper’s weed carrier, dressing up in black face, being a deadbeat dad because you didn’t want it to get out that you were cutting a porno chick raw. Through it all, they stand right by his side. Good for yall! LOL

      1. You’d have a better chance of “growing up” and “having a woman” if you listen to Drake….and oh stop witha gossips, ain’t healthy.

        1. lmao that part. all of aubrey’s angles talking about pusha had to gossip to win, and that was some bitch shit. like, doesn’t drake gossip all the damn time in his music? that’s basically the majority of what his content is.

      2. For real. Let them tell it, he’s never taken an L and he never starts shit or goes to far, he’s actually always the victim who’s just defending himself. Helps when you have J Prince making money off of you, he will protect that image and his cash cow and nobody will question it. It was brilliant to bring J Prince into it, that’s the ace in the hole. Think about it, they’re going to act like Kanye was the only one who knew that info and that he begged to dead the beef. What, is Kanye going to call J Prince a liar? Can’t believe people actually think Drake has a career ending diss track and won’t put it out bc they’re somehow honoring the request of somebody who supposedly did him so dirty and gave Pusha the intel to write Adidon. That J Prince damage control tour while promoting his book (great timing, eh?) was the work of genius. I need to learn how to pimp.

      3. And remember when Drake insinuated on Charged Up that Meek will never know if he ever fucked Nicki and that it would always be in the back of Meek’s mind? And then brought her up multiple times on Back 2 Back, and it made people laugh and he was winning and that was against a street rapper too. J Prince didn’t step in, or say it went too far, or that they won’t “roll in the mud with pigs.” When Drake’s winning, it’s cool, when he’s losing, we’re going to frame it as “this could get dangerous and go too far.” LOL, Drake and Kanye will take it to the streets, but it was okay when he was talking about fucking a hood dude’s girl? It makes me laugh that Drake groupies ate all that shit up and didn’t even question it. Doesn’t pass the smell test.

    14. YE burned drake and proceeded to try to stop the reprocussions. 100% coward. Drake mentioning ye flopping is just par for the course

    15. I took in disc 2 of drakes album. Nice for what, the Michael Jackson mix and the last song March 14 are fire. That last track on drakes album shits on every new guy out. That’s why hes at where he is. Im a purist and have crates of vinyl. I don’t listen to any of these new trash cats. But I will not deny new good shit either. Im still waiting for the new 8ball and MJG.

      1. lolll im saying. Ppl really think if you like drake you are automatically not a hip hop head. If these same people saw my copy of OB4CL on cassette they would chill in a second. Case scratched to all hell but real ones know. Take care is literally beside Jerus the sun rises in the east in my cd case. Cormega Legal hustle vol 1 on the right side

    16. Drake is Sacha Baron Cohen in a latex mask and y’all some fools lapping up his phoney cultural apropriation BS. Google “Ali G” and see how he did it before in the UK. This is Andy Kaufman level stuff now though.

    17. I guess flopped mean something different in Canada. 21 Grammys, 300 million in personal wealth, and he started a company that’s now worth $1.5 billion dollars. How are those OVO sweaters selling? How many Grammys does drake up? How much money is Drake worth? I’ll wait. Baby has been robbing this guy blind, but in Babies defense, he’s a been lying for those who click farms, fake streams, ghost writers and radio play… they didn’t inveast as much with Niki. Look at how she is doing…

    18. Sick of Drake and his fans acting like he’s a victim, and this was a setup and that this alleged “baby/adidas intel” betrayal is what started this whole thing (I say alleged bc there’s no proof that Kanye gave that info to Pusha, and people seem to forget Pusha has his own connections in the industry and at Adidas. I personally think he got that info from somebody at Adidas who told him the details about the launch without bad intentions). Drake acts like he revived Kanye’s career by writing some material for him and that Kanye owed him bc of it. 1st, Kanye didn’t desperately need Drake for anything, they worked on some material like Kanye has been doing with other collaborators for years. Daytona was Pusha’s album, not Kanye’s. His thoughts, perspectives and opinions are his. He’s been going at Drake for years, Infrared wasn’t a surprise and people knew Pusha was going to throw a shot back at Drake at some point. Just because Kanye produces a track for him, doesn’t necessarily mean he agrees with everything Pusha is saying, and Kanye is going to allow his artists to do them. He produced Takeover and yet Nas was still man enough to keep the 2 issues separate and not hold it against Kanye. Same with Pusha, he didn’t get salty with Kanye over producing 2 Birds, 1 Stone where Drake dissed Pusha and Cudi. Kanye didn’t let that affect his relationship with Drake, Pusha didn’t let that affect his relationship with Kanye (and he’s written for Kanye too). They’ve been taking shots at each other for years now, while maintaining relationships with Kanye. Does Drake think Kanye was supposed to tell Pusha he can’t respond to 2 Birds, 1 Stone and send shots back at Drake bc Drake wrote for him and they’re friends? Drake got in his feelings, and it seems the ghostwriting thing is the easiest and biggest button to push. He immediately responded with Duppy and went full steam at Kanye’s neck for essentially no reason. Even if Kanye gave Pusha that info, Drake was the 1st one to talk shit and drag Kanye into their spat that didn’t really involve Kanye personally. I wouldn’t necessarily blame Kanye (or label him a snake) if he did give up that intel after the shit Drake said about him on Duppy. Drake brought it on himself. Once you start talking shit about somebody and talk about going to war and ending them, and you told them secrets, they’re no longer obligated to keep your secrets. He should’ve kept his beef with Pusha and his relationship with Kanye separate like it has been. It’s not like Drake hasn’t fallen out with somebody and aired some of their dirty laundry on some petty shit. Drake expects to get passes for the stuff he does, then gets salty when somebody does the exact same things. When he insinuated that Meek will never know if he fucked Nicki, brought her up multiple times during the spat, brings Pusha T’s fiance into the beef by making her a punchline, it’s all good and people laughed. When Pusha T confirmed the public rumor that Drake had a baby with that chick, he went too far and crossed the line. These emotional dudes have taken over and want to play by rules they make up and then change them when they’re not benefiting from them anymore and somebody else is. Drake is wrong in this situation, his emotions got the best of him, he got shown up and folded, had his team clean it up and claim Kanye begged to call it off, conveniently is sitting on a career ending track that nobody will hear (when would Drake or his team ever not grab a W when they can?) and now he’s obsessed with sniping at Ye all over the place and won’t say anything to the dude who shitted on his whole life. I can’t respect this shit anymore. People baby and protect Drake when he’s slighted and laugh when he’s picking on easy targets.
