Common has dropped his 12th studio album Let Love, which is inspired by his memoir Let Love Have The Last Word.
The LP is his first solo release since 2016’s Black America Again and the follow-up to last year’s August Greene LP, a joint release with Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins.
The Oscar-winning rapper/actor’s latest work is comprised of 11 songs. The project features collaborations with Swizz Beatz, Leikeli47, BJ The Chicago Kid, Jill Scott, Leon Bridges, Daniel Caesar, A-Trak and Samora Pinderhughes.

WTF is up with Hercules?? “Im into FINE-THINGS, like DIN-ING, with FINE-THINGS” Gtfoh with that nonsense. That’s not even rap, it’s how people who hate rap immitate rap… but the rest of the track and album sound hot. Still, needs that soulful NoID on the next album.

Neither the flow nor the lyrics are anywhere near the same. Also hes always been a little preachy but feel like it’s over the top now (esp the August Greene album).
I used to like his music. He had a good message back in the day. Now everything seems so forced.
