      1. That’s absurd. If there is anybody now closest to Prince, it’s gotta be Miguel, the R&B singer.

      2. Miguel isnt even close to Prince’s level. Prince played over 20 instruments and he wrote his own songs.

    1. His Dad helps keep the Black youth oppressed in Chicago. He’s been granted opportunities his other “brothers” haven’t because of who his dad knows. Chance the rapper is the definition of White Privledge.. Clown ass fool.

      1. You’re so dumb dude. Just because the dude had a fortunate upbringing doesn’t mean you gotta hate on his shit. The dude speaks positive shit which is more than what I can say for the rest of the rappers out here. You’re hating on one of the few good ones left because his pops got money when you probably some future fanboy who says his music is fire when he’s just a degenerate who influences kids like you to hate on shit with a good message. GTFOH

      1. His music is garbage and is forced down peoples throats cus his daddy got connects. Straight up bird nigga bringing nothing new to the table

    2. I’m from Chicago and the way he getting promoted I was expecting great. This nigga horrible too.. Wow.

    3. All about hype. Very dissapointed. I was feeling acid rap, but this project?!?!? Dont understand how people can enjoy it… Only 2 or 3 ok songs…

    4. For the people more concerned with who his father is, so if Nas or Jay-Z had a son who grew up to spit, you wouldn’t listen? Because let’s face it, they would have grown up in the lap of luxury so far removed from “the streets” or whatever seems to be the litmus test for some of you dummies today. When I was younger, our rappers were speaking on things so that their rap offspring of this generation 25, 30 years later didn’t all have to come from broken homes and selling drugs or other nonsense. So I would hope this new generation would be bringing middle class or any other kinds of perspectives to the door and not all poverty stricken like back in the day. This is how stupid this premise is. As far as Chance goes, he tries to stretch boundaries, although the subject matter isn’t always there for me. But the guy is doing himself, has creative production with jazz incorporated in some of his stuff, and isn’t cloning somebody else while repeating 3 words over and over again trying to make a dance hit. That’s all you can ask for out here if you’re a real hip hop fan. He’s putting in effort to make something that might move people, so love it or leave it alone.

    5. @ the (old white dude) who is always posting the same thing whenever there is an article about Chance The Rapper i.e he comes from a privileged background he didn’t grow up in a broken home etc etc …Why does it piss you off so much that he didn’t come from poverty ? ….. So to sum it up .You hate black people when they are poor and acting up but you also hate black people when they come from a more stable background ….You’re pathetic you really are …PS I bet you’ve had a great time posting on the Troy Ave story claiming that all (black people) are stupid because of some m.o.fo who decided to act like an idiot and start shooting people at a rap concert ….

      1. Wow, you really suck at reading comprehension . I will dumb it down for you . You seem to have an issue with the fact that he didn’t grow up in a broken home . Every post about “Chance The Rapper” you drone on about his family being middle class and that’s the only reason his successful. However, whenever there is an article about a black person doing something f****d up you are all over HHDX writing racist posts and crying when they get flagged by readers and REMOVED .
In simple terms, you hate black people when they are being ignorant (Ti concert) and you hate blacks when they are not acting ignorant (Chance The Rapper) Damn, you really are slow . I know you better than you know yourself …You should work on that it will hold you back in life !

      2. It’s always the same a white male walks into a school sandy hook and murders 28 innocent children and the racists all start making excuses he was unwell and came from a broken family always a reason/excuse. A black person commits a crime and every black person is now held responsible for that one individuals actions . Double standards buddy double standards
