Cardi B has opened up about how her experience with community service has impacted her as she nears the end of her court mandated hours of charitable work.
After documenting her daily community service outfits with tongue-in-cheek warnings about staying on the right side of the law all week, Cardi took to Twitter on Saturday (February 25) with more serious commentary about her experience.

“Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me,” she wrote. “Almost like a spiritual journey because sometimes I leave these centers in tears .Those people that we leave behind they just need somebody to talk and a lil push and YOU might be able to change their life forever.”
In September 2022, Cardi B pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and reckless endangerment — both of which are misdemeanors — in a New York court. Cardi’s plea meant she avoided jail time and was instead given 15 days of community service.
She was ordered to complete the sentence before the end of the year and was additionally required to stay away from the victims of the strip club brawl for three years.
In January, however, Cardi B appeared in court to request an extension after failing to complete any of her court ordered community service time. The judge presiding over the hearing ruled in Cardi’s favor, giving her a March 1 deadline to complete all 15 days.

The Bronx rapper began documenting the work outfits related to her sentence on Tuesday (February 21), a little over a month after being granted her extension. However, the caption on her first such post — which read, “Day whatever the fuck of community service……….Obey the law !!!!” — seemed to indicate that she had started serving her time before then.
The previous week saw Cardi and husband Offset on a whirlwind press tour to promote their new McDonald’s collab. The couple officially introduced the special Mickey D’s combo bearing their name with a commercial on Super Bowl Sunday (February 12).
The Cardi B & Offset Meal features both stars’ favorite items from the fast food giant’s menu: a cheeseburger, Quarter Pounder with cheese, barbecue sauce, large fries, an apple pie, a large Hi-C and a large Coke.
Doubling down on the success of their collaboration with McDonald’s, the powerhouse couple have since dropped a collection of clothing and accessories echoing their love story, on their official website.
