Bang ‘Em Smurf On 50 Cent: “I Should’ve Let Them Old Heads Kill Him”

Bang ‘Em Smurf recalls when Tony Yayo begged him to protect 50 Cent after he was shot up by the “old heads,” in an interview with Report Card Radio.

In 2000, 50 Cent was hospitalized for 13 days after being shot nine times outside his grandmother’s home in South Jamaica, Queens, New York.

Tony Yayo asked Bang ‘Em Smurf to ride for 50 after the incident and he agreed.

“I felt sorry for the nigga,” Smurf says in the Report Card Radio interview. “Nigga had no money. He was broke. He had nothing. All he had was his two chains he had from his other deal because Columbia dropped him and just left him with the jewelry. ‘Don’t worry about nothing else,’ they said. ‘You a tax write-off.’ [I] felt bad for the nigga. He had nothin’. He was on his last leg. You know me, me being a good nigga, I am always going to stand up for a nigga who I think is a real nigga in a bad position at the time. I should’ve let the nigga suffer. I should’ve let them old heads kill him.”

According to Bang ‘Em Smurf, he and the Animal Ambition rapper have a long history that extends to when Smurf was a 13 years old.

Bang ‘Em Smurf also details the origins of G-Unit, recalling when the Power producer pitched the idea to him after the G-Unit boss suggested that they take a ride together.

Smurf was a known drug dealer at the time and 50 Cent assured him that he wouldn’t have to do that anymore if he joined the G-Unit movement.

“I was like, ‘No doubt my nigga. Let’s make it happen,'” the former G-Unit member says. “‘I’m out here busting my gun and you need protection or whatever, let’s do it. I was busting my gun for free anyway, so if I could guap out of it now, let’s go, nigga.’ So we just bonded from there.”

    1. How would you feel if you shot people and put your life at risk and in return they said they would return the favor the dude said 13 years old do your research before you post

    2. Smurf keeps dissing 50 Cent when they haven’t spoken in 13 years. He keeps dissing Banks, Yayo and Buck because they traveled the world making money while he was sitting behind bars. They don’t ever or rarely speak of him which means they aren’t worried nor thinking about him which makes him even more bitter. It is like a dude that gets dumped in high school who is still mad at that same chick 10 years later while she is living life, married with kids and he has multiple kids by multiple women barely making his child support payments

    3. sounds to me, like he is real real bitter. 13 years and you still crying? Nigga wipe the tears and get your life together. If you still in the streets and have not come up yet? maybe you need to change occupations.

    4. No doubt smurf was heavy in the streets but this dusty nigga seems to forget 50 was his boss on the street shit and music! He said himself niggaz opened doors for 50 n how respected 50 was! Honestly no one in g-unit is paying this dusty nigga any mind he is a sulky baby

    5. (These Niggas Aint Hood) Featuring LLoyd Banks. Fuck that goon ass nigga. He would’ve switched on him reguardless, & Curtis knew that. Why wait till we all get rich to drop you, then you’ll really have the means to take me out. Smurf was gun for hire. That means his loyalty could be purchased. And how many niggas want me dead? How many times was i previously shot? How many of the same niggas that want me dead know my muscle is a disloyal ass goon that’s lighting shit up for money & my arch rivals a king pin? Smart Move 50! Keep Shit Movin Home Boi

    6. Bangn smurf ain’t salty this a real nigga if u been dwn 4 a mf when they was thin n now he thick n left u 4 sho u go let it b known niggas do tht shit at females all the time when she leave ur ass this new world order is about being fake u toast with mfs u dnt even like shame

    7. Bang em tellin the truth. Nobody denies he protected 50, even 50 himself has admitted this. Now look how 50 livin compared to bang em. Shit doesnt add up. Nobody could bust their gun protectin me and not be good if I am…. look @ how he tries to sun yayo & banks after they help build the brand…. its a pattern people..

      1. So because someone protected you does that mean you should be paying for that guy’s livelihood for ever? Come on man. Im sure 50 paid him more than enough for what Smurf done for him.

    8. It aint even about being salty no more but why is it EVERY TIME we hear from him its ALWAYS some shit about 50 or a G Unit memeber??? Man he gotta let that hurt go!!!!

    9. this guy is a clown..he has no goons..these weak dudes always talking smack and has no hit records..quit crying all the time ..Bang Em SMurf is a cartoon name..weak niggas..lol

    10. Son, you got deported…pretty sure it’s a burden on your back in whatever Island you may be on; you are stigmatized, no job prospects, if you weren’t taking care of folks in them islands, you ain’t getting no love. Folks in the states will stop wiring you money soon, so what’s left? That degree in streetonomics will only get you killed or locked. Fuck Curtis, fuck G-unit, fuck the ‘old heads’ you are whining about. Be a man and stand up like one, whatever street creds you are trying to claim at this moment make you sound weak, bruh.

    11. The ghetto insects know nothing about LOYALTY.. They preach loyalty but they always crying about jealously when an “acquaintance” moves up in the ghetto.

    12. Claim : Yayo asked Smurf to join g-unit and protect 50 cent, Smurf accepted “like if 50 didn’t knew Smurf & Smuf was Yayo’s Connexion lol “ .
Reality : Smurf was 50’s baby in the hood , Guy R Brewer / 134th , Smurf was riding with 50 before he got shot and was already goonin’ around for 50 !!
