50 Cent has advocated for Bobby Shmurda from day one after the “Hot Nigga” rapper and members of his GS9 crew were arrested in December 2014 on weapons and murder charges.
He’s previously spoken out against Epic Records and said the execs should have bailed their artist out. Shmurda has been denied bail and is still sitting in jail a-year-and-a-half later, awaiting trial on four counts of conspiracy and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon along with a charge of reckless endangerment and one for criminally using drug paraphernalia.
In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, 50 Cent says he doesn’t see a lot of hope for Shmurda’s case.
“When you get charged with some real serious shit, the craziest thing is when you can’t see how serious the situation is,” he says. “Because that is … give me a body, give me a homicide before you hand me a conspiracy charge. You can’t beat conspiracy.”
In May, two members of the GS9 crew were convicted of multiple charges, including second-degree murder for the death of a rival gang member. They were given sentences of 53 years and 98 years to life in prison.
The G-Unit boss references mobster John Gotti to make his point, saying that he was committing murder without punishment until he was arrested for conspiracy in 2008.
“John Gotti, The Teflon Don, took out bodies and it wasn’t a problem,” 50 continues. “He was walking around in nice $2,000 suits and shoes and shit like that. But when you put him in a conspiracy case, he washed up. That means you knew and you were aware of it, but they’re not even saying how much you actively were involved, but you knew and were aware of it.”
Even though the rapper born Ackquille Pollard told the New York Times that the lyrics in his song, which reference gun violence and drug deals, were written because those topics are popular, 50 says that the hit track will still be used against him.
“The song itself confirms conspiracy,” he says.
Shmurda is scheduled to begin trial September 12.
Didn’t this guy declare moral bankruptcy?
Idiot. PLENTY of Wealthy folks declare bankruptcy one time or another.
Wow. You didn’t read the “moral” typed before bankruptcy you fucktard. Maybe ask your mom to read things out loud to you. It might help. If she can read. Retard.
“John Gotti, The Teflon Don, took out bodies and it wasn’t a problem,” 50 continues. “He was walking around in nice $2,000 suits and shoes and shit like that. But when you put him in a conspiracy case, he washed up. That means you knew and you were aware of it, but they’re not even saying how much you actively were involved, but you knew and were aware of it.” Then he says “the song confirms conspiracy.” LOL. Fiddy can’t stop snitching. If I was the D.A. I would subpoena Fiddy and make him read that statement in court. Straight snitch.

Wow, can you guys pay me to write for you instead? Do you guys even try anymore? I’ve been a loyal reader for a few years but this half-assed BS is making me think twice. 50 is clearly referencing John J. Gotti (hence the Teflon Don remark), not his son John A. Gotti and yet you link to the son’s relatively recent arrest. Sigh…
Seriously – I’ll write for you. Reply to this comment.
