Malaysian artists psychomantra, Arunboii, Arvind Raj, YUNOHOO, and five more artists are set to perform at the inaugural edition of the Naamastay Hip Hop show on May 29, 2022, at The Bee, Publika in Kuala Lumpur.
They will be joined by Axiz, The INC, Tharagai, Sheezay, CJL, and DJ Nexto. The event will be hosted by Hindra Bose and will feature a special appearance from Music Kitchen.
Naamastay Hip Hop aims to be a live music platform to showcase Malaysian Indian and Tamil hip hop, which, according to the organizers, “has [had] a scarcity in terms of opportunity and exposure” for such artists. It is the first of the three-series event, which will culminate in an indoor hip hop festival.
