Kathmandu, Nepal

VTEN is set to return soon with new music.

The Nepali rapper shared a gripping teaser for his upcoming single, “GALLI SADAK” (Street). Directed by long-time collaborator James Lama, the 48-second clip shows VTEN and three others blindfolded and with their hands bound. The four are standing on a platform (which is revealed later to have a large, wooden cross installed) with a white-hooded figure lighting up fires behind them; in front of them, a black-hooded figure holds a scythe, and cops aim rifles at them.

VTEN is shown inside a candle-lit colonial house in the next scene, cut to him smashing a windshield and then walking away from a car on fire. A CGI helicopter swoops in, with the teaser ending as cops close in. VTEN did not indicate the exact release date (“COMING SOON,” the video reads).

“GALLI SADAK” is set to be the Kathmandu rapper’s third single of 2021, following “CRMNL” from May and “CENNSSORDDDD” in February. Both songs hint at his recent legal troubles, which he shared with VICE Asia’s ‘CENSORED’ interview series, where he opened up about being arrested and held by Nepalese police for his music.
