Taiwanese rapper SOWUT enlists 蛋頭 BG8LOCC and SiNNER MOON for his latest single, “當年勇” (Back Then).

The accompanying animation shows the interior of a deserted restaurant. SOWUT, BG8LOCC, and SiNNER MOON are projected onto the wall, casting almost a ghostly presence.

In an Instagram post, SOWUT shared what the track—and hip hop—means for him and how he’s been coping during the pandemic. “I have never stopped being brave until now and will continue to be brave in the future,” he starts. He also mentioned how hip hop helps him gain insight on our shared differences and “to see a bigger world,” and this gives him the perspective to write music, this song included.

This is SOWUT’s third single in four months, following “BENJAMIN” and “JOY,” which were released in July and June, respectively.
