Taiwanese rap stars Dizzy Dizzo 蔡詩芸 and ØZI link up for the summer-ready anthem, “What A Life.”

The single marks the first time the two work together. “I have always liked him! He is a very talented guy who I wanted to collaborate with,” she shared in Mandarin. She added that this is also her way to subvert the way collaborative tracks are written, where men usually do the rap verses and women sing the chorus.

Intended to have a vibrant, R&B-leaning production, Dizzy Dizzo describes “What A Life” as a track reminiscent of “a summer drive in California,” which was executed in the visuals helmed by Ares Wu.

Moreover, she said that the track is about her asserting control in her life: “I will not change for the sake of others. I will continue to move in the direction and do what I want to do.”

The single shortly follows her 瘦子E.SO collab, “Trash Talk.” Both songs are included in her upcoming album, SKY, her follow-up to 2016’s Innermost.

The rap songstress took a break from making music after she gave birth to her daughter with husband and fellow celebrity Sunny Wang.
