The Filipino pop-rap viral hit “Dota o Ako” (“Dota or Me”) finally gets its sequel a decade after it became the soaring relationship anthem for DOTA players nationwide.
Titled “DOTA at Ako: DOTA o Ako 10 Years After,” Netflix PH got Aikee and Vanessa back together to reveal the fate of their relationship, which was put to test when made to choose between their favorite game or their partner.
The multiplayer online battle arena game was extremely popular in the Philippines, and was widely played in Internet cafés to this day for as low as Php20 (roughly $1) an hour.
With the same hilarious karaoke-style video effects, the update shows the “couple” dressed up in wedding attire. The video is part of a promo campaign for Netflix’s “DOTA: Dragon’s Blood” anime series, which “follows Davion the Dragon Knight as he accompanies an exiled princess on a dangerous mission.”
