Singapore hip hop rapper ShiGGa Shay teams up with Korean rap superstar Jay Park for “uRight,” his first single of the year.
Touted as one of ShiGGa Shay’s “rare love songs,” he said the track is all about “if you really loved the other person, it wouldn’t matter who’s right or who’s wrong in an argument,” according to a press statement. Jay Park wrote his verse in Los Angeles and the two finished recording during the same day.
The music video for “uRight” premiered on February 25. “Jay flew down to Singapore and we shot the music video entirely around iconic locations of the city. I wanted to showcase certain places in Singapore that are not usually seen by our friends overseas,” Shay adds.
Last year, ShiGGa Shay became the first Southeast Asian music artist to ever hold a livestreamed mixed reality concert, which has been broadcasted to more than 45 million households in Asia. He went on to perform in an Extended Reality (xR) showcase earlier this month.
