Singapore-based producer Wovensound and rapper Ihasamic! unite in anthemic new single, “End Simulation,” off their upcoming collaborative debut EP, Vertigos Fulfilled, via Umami Records.

The song combines both artists’ love for drum n’ bass-influenced rap-rock, with “subtle and not so subtle switchups in the instrumentation make you feel the journey as if there’s wind in your face while you’re racing through the void of space,” describes Ihasamic.

Wovensound shared in a statement that that the track “openly shares the feeling of constantly racing on unstable ground, disillusioned with the idea that everything is going to be okay.”

“End Simulation” also serve as an homage to sci-fi films and Linkin Park with help from a long-time friend, Singapore rapper Yello Dicaprio.

Wovensound, who’s a veteran of Singapore’s underground metal scene, described the sound choices they made as “a heavier turn apart from the other tracks on the EP, with some heavy guitars included in the mix… when the groove switched up, we went into a Meteora vibe, which is one of the albums close to my heart. We decided to incorporate heavy guitars during Ihasamic!’s rap verses for a more aggressive feel.”
