Social media users were duped this week by a fake NASA tweet circulating a rumor that February 10 was the only day broomsticks will stand on their own due to the gravitational pull on the earth.
Prompting an obvious curiosity, some of the biggest names in Hip Hop and people all across the globe began standing broomsticks in their kitchens to prove the theory true, in what’s been dubbed the #BroomstickChallenge.
NASA has since stepped forth to refute the theory by using a clip of astronaut Alvin Drew and scientist Sarah Noble showing how “basic physics works every day of the year.”
