Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, G-Eazy finds himself at the top with the #1 Hip Hop album on the Billboard charts, Wiz Khalifa says he is just like us, and Joe Budden clears up battle rap regulations.

Lil Wayne Thanks BET & Fans

As a group, the Young Money leader accepted the award for Best Group as his artists Drake and Nicki Minaj received Best Male Hip Hop Artists and Best Female Hip Hop Artists, respectively. Weezy was overwhelmed with the love BET sprinkled all over him and his crew. After Minaj thanked BET for honoring authenticity, Lil Wayne thanked the television network for acknowledging “HARDWORK” and thanked all of the Young Money fans for being the most supportive fans ever.

Nicki Minaj Clarifies Iggy Azalea Feud

Following the rumors of a reported feud with Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj has directly addressed the speculations. In a long series of tweets, Minaj expressed what she really meant when she said “when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it” in her BET Awards acceptance speech. She tweeted, “The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us! I believe we’re smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do.” The first lady of Young Money also brought up her respect for Lauryn Hill and Missy Elliott for writing their own material.  She tweeted, “Women MUST aspire for more. I’ve congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud. That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard.” Nicki Minaj ended her twitter rant with a hope to inspire up and coming females to write.

G-Eazy Has #1 Rap Album On Billboard Charts

Whether or not you’ve heard of the name G-Eazy, you’ll surely remember his name since his latest album debuted No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and in turn, became the No. 1 Rap album this week. Hailing from Oakland, California, G-Eazy made waves with These Things Happen, which pushed 46,000 copies in this week’s report. The album also caused the independently-distributed rapper to have the first No. 1 album in 2014 that has not scored a hit on the Rap Airplay chart. Guess he put those 189,000 Twitter followers, 182,000 Facebook likes and 180,000 Instagram followers to work.

Wiz Khalifa Is Just Like You

If you thought Wiz Khalifa lead a different lifestyle because he makes a lot of money and hangs out with other celebrities, you’ve got it all wrong. One of his recent tweets reminded us that he’s more like us than we think. On July 4th, as the world relaxed, watched fireworks, grilled outdoors, used the restroom and waited to get into parties, Wiz Khalifa tweeted four words that hit home. “Im just like you,” the Taylor Gang frontman tweeted. ScHoolboy Q Puts Mac Miller On Blast With Leaked Nudes

To make a long story short, Mac Miller pissed off his side chick (or side girlfriend – whatever the appropriate term is) because she found out that he actually has a serious girlfriend. No word on how she found out but she was so angry (grrrrrr!) that she leaked pictures of Mac sleeping in the nude. She leaked them on the classiest site on the net, MediaTakeOut. We know that ScHoolboy Q and Mac Miler joke around on Twitter a lot and the other day, Q tweeted Mac one of the leaked nudes and wrote, “I wonder wat dude left u like tHis.” No shame. Pure hilarity. Click the NSFW link at your own risk.

Cardo Humbled By Jay Z On Jeezy’s New Song “Seen It All”

Did you know that the “Seen It All” beat was sent to Jeezy on accident? Funny how it works. In an interview with MTV, Cardo shared that he originally pictured Big Sean or Travi$ Scott on the flute-infused production. The error happened when the producer accidentally shared a duplicate of the beat with Jeezy. “It turned out to be bigger than I thought it was going to be…Sometimes, God, that’s how he works,” said Cardo. He’s still feeling the aftermath of having Jay Z rap over his original production. “Shit still feels unreal man,” tweeted the producer. It might be the first time, but certainly not the last.

Rihanna Is On Everyone’s Team

If you follow Rihanna on Twitter, you know that she’s avidly watching the World Cup. She’s so invested that she’s been rooting for every team or at least picking a team to root for in every match. Thanks to Big Ghost, there’s proof that Rihanna is on everyone’s team. Belgium, France, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Portugal, Argentina, Italy and of course, USA, are just some of the teams that Rih Rih cheered on in less than 140 characters. Good thing there are only four countries left. It makes it easier to pick sides that way.

Lupe Fiasco Congratulates Team USA On World Cup

Back in May, Lupe Fiasco was named Music and Art Director for the U.S. Men’s National Team as they made their way to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. In that position, Fiasco made Spotify playlists and coordinated in-game musical programming while U.S. Soccer promoted his single, “Mission.” Although Lupe Fiasco didn’t ‘make his way out to Brazil for the festivities, he held it down at home and rooted for Team USA in the world soccer tournament. Now that the home team’s run is over, maybe Lupe Fiasco and Clint Dempsey could get in the studio? Heard that was a possibility.

Want To Buy Clothes From Kanye West?

Kanye West shared a sneak peak of his upcoming collection with French clothing brand A.P.C. via Twitter earlier this week. The military-inspired clothing collection is his second and final collaboration with the French brand. The pieces range from $2.865 for a fur-trimmed parka to $90 for a plain white tee. The lovely ski-mask, pictured above, was not priced (because you can’t put a price on art) but you can imagine the bank-breaking price tag the mask has. Kanye West has a line with Adidas now so expect the next round of clothing tweets to have a familiar logo stamp.

Joe Budden On Battle Rap LIfelines

July 12th can’t come sooner for Joe Budden, who’s itching to get the battle rap lines out of his head or out of his notebook. He’s been tweeting about the battle since it was announced, even throwing soft shots at Hollow Da Don saying that he wishes that Hollow was “more successful” so he’d have more to say about him when the battle arrives. He continued shooting shots by playfully tweeting that he needs clarification on the rules of battle rap. “So just so I’m clear, I CANT pull a notebook out during my battle, right?,” tweeted Joe. Anyone think Joe stands a chance on July 12th?
