7 Indicators That Point To A New Eminem Album

Nearly one year ago, Eminem pulled off a surprise album drop nobody — nobody — saw coming. Like a missile straight from the sky, Kamikaze arrived on August 31, 2018 and took aim at Shady’s detractors, obliterating everything in its path.

On Wednesday (August 28), a tweet from Marshall Mather’s Twitter account got the rumor mill churning once again, leading many to wonder: Is there a Lord Jamar diss coming? Or is this an entirely new Eminem album?

With 2017’s Revival, subtle hints started popping up on social media prior to its release.

In October 2017, Paul Rosenberg shared a photo of Yelawolf’s Trial By Fire album to Instagram. Upon closer investigation, a giant billboard on the side of a building was promoting a new drug called “Revival.” However the “E” was backwards, which is Em’s logo.

From there, Shady’s team went as far as creating a fake hotline that plugged the drug. Revival arrived less than two months later.

There are a few reasons to believe it could be that time again. Here are 5 indicators another Eminem album is possibly on its way.

The Tweet Appears To Be Scheduled

“People think they want this problem ’til they get it.”

The cryptic message arrived precisely at 2:00 PM (or 3:00 PM CST, 4:00 PM EST, depending on what time zone you’re in), a clue Shady’s team scheduled the tweet and it’s something that’s been planned.

M&Ms In The Background Of Skyler Grey’s Instagram Post

On the same day Em’s tweet arrived, Revival collaborator Skyler Grey shared an Instagram photo of herself sitting in the studio. In the caption, she revealed she was “back in the lab with Em.” The M&Ms candy logo appears in the background.

Although she says “swipe right to see his face,” the second photo only shows a close up of an M&M character.

Kamikaze Producer Illa Da Producer Is On Alert

Although it’s not much, Illa Da Producer — who crafted several joints on Kamikaze — is watching. He shared Shady’s tweet along with the eyes emoji.

Em’s Longtime Producer FredWreck Issues His Own Mysterious Tweet

FredWreck, who has produced music for everyone from Brittney Spears and Ice Cube to 50 Cent and, yes, Eminem, responded to Em’s original message with his own puzzling tweet.

“The Lion doesn’t concern himself with the opinion of ants,” he wrote.

Kamikaze‘s One-Year Anniversary Is Days Away

As previously mentioned, Em’s tenth studio album, Kamikaze, is about to turn one year old on Saturday (August 31). Perhaps timing is everything?

Eminem Has Obviously Been In The Studio

Over the past few months, Em has popped up on a few collaborative tracks, including Conway The Machine’s “Bang!” and Logic’s “Homicide.”

He even teamed up with British pop sensation Ed Sheeran, who was able to get him on the No. 6 Collaborations cut “Remember The Name” with longtime friend and collaborator 50 Cent.

The man has clearly been putting in work inside the booth.

    Reddit’s Eminem Thread Is Buzzing

Some of Em’s most dedicated fans — you know, the Stans — are lighting up Reddit’s Eminem thread, tirelessly trying to unlock the tweet’s mysteries.

One user joked Eminem is dropping, “Kamikaze 2, the album where he replies to everybody who didn’t like the album that he made replying to everybody that didn’t like the previous album.”

There are also a few hopeful fans dreaming about another Bad Meets Evil project, Em’s collaborative group with Royce Da 5’9.

Whatever the case, Em evidently always knows how to get people talking. Now it’s just a waiting game.

    1. I hope a fire has been lit because of Jamar’s statements and we get a banging album out of Em. Seems that criticism brings out the beast in Em

      1. Dude every album he put out for the last 15 years was made to defy critics and they were all trash. He dissed Jamar on the last album and it sucked. He needs to retire.

          1. Mufuckas like u are gay as fuck. By your logic, nobody can be a ciritc of an artist, unless they themselves are a multi million album sales artist themselves lol. I loved Eminem, but stnas are gay as fuck.

      1. My favorite thing about Eminem posts is watching everyone say “who cares” and “he’s irrelevant” meanwhile literally anything posted about him instantly become the most commented on post. Something doesn’t doesn’t add up there …

        1. I guess by that logic, Tekashi 69 and lil Pump are extremely relevant rappers. Let’s be real… Popularity isn’t a measure of actual relevance in the hiphop community. You think songs like Old Town Road are actually relevant? Not at all.

      1. Yet another salty comment from someone who acts like they don’t care but clearly do. If your so unimpressed then why are you even here?

        1. His music is full of references of pop stars, his dysfunctional family/life, and using his insane ability to put words together. What has he talked about that actually matters like a Pac, Cube or Nas? Maybe one or two songs about Trump, that’s it.

          1. He has a ton of songs where he talks about actual subjects. Talking about his family and life fits the bill. Most songs with “content” are about the artist’s life. Who the fuck are you to decide what content is important and what isn’t? And what the fuck did Cube ever rap about that mattered? You are an idiot.

          2. Em has a lot of music with social/political critics, songs for misunderstood kids and with family/bullying problems, songs about whats real and whats fake about the music industry. and of course, he always slains your favorite rappers.
Its really amazing how we are experiencing an era where 90percent of rappers have no substance but Eminem is the one who gets criticized about it.

    2. When eminem dies all these dorks on social media gassing garbage telling people what they do or dont like will be singing his praises and revisit all those “terrible” albums they killed on arrival and make them bigger. Nipsey hussle got shot and he became a legend. This man is a living legend based on his artistry, not his standing on social media. Respect to em. He always makes something worth hearing. Hip hop has a long way to go, respect the artists who actually create lasting stuff while their here

    3. Gentlemen, just because somebody says, “who cares?” in reference to a possible Eminem album, that doesn’t always mean that they DO care. They just want YOU to know that they don’t care, and most likely in all actuality, they indeed do not give a flying fuck about another lame album from Em. “Why’d you click it then, Hoe?” Well, the better question is, “Why not, hoe?” It’s not like it takes effort to reply to a forum thread. Must you really care about something to read a two-minute blurb about it and respond to it by saying, “I don’t care?” Certainly not. Your logic is flawed and your defense is weak. Kindly shut the fuck up.

    4. Come on… “One user joked Eminem is dropping, “Kamikaze 2, the album where he replies to everybody who didn’t like the album that he made replying to everybody that didn’t like the previous album.””

This was a joke from Kamikaze.

    5. Why do ppl be hating on Em so much? It’s confusing because not only does the numbers, awards, and broken records speak for themselves. His peers even vouch on the fact Em is one of the all time greats. From the very mouth of ppl Like Jay-z, Drake, Wayne, Nas, Snoop, Rakim, Krs-1, T.I, 50, Redman, Boosy, Big Sean, Kendrick and many more.

    6. Why are Em stans so annoying? A lot of people don’t like his new music because he tends to put his super lyrical wordplay above the creation of genuinely entertaining music. Can they not express that opinion without you virgins throwing a fit over it?

      1. Lyricism isn’t wordplay in my eyes, lyricism is deep/well written lyrics. So someone like a Nas would be considered a lyricist. Eminem has simplistic lyrics and doesn’t really talk about anything in songs these days, so he prioritizes silly shit like how many words he can fit into a bar. I put him in the category of people like Twista, Busta Rhymes, Bone Thugs, etc

    7. Thread full of people having a hissy fit over Eminem yet whining about “Stans” being annoying…. Irony.

    8. I hate all the new flavoured M&M’s btw. Either be original or peanut or get the fuck out. This goes for Crispy too. Fuck Crispy.

    9. Hoobly hoo blah i havent heard shit yall said em is a fucking goat are you mad hello im talking to you are you big mad or lil mad. EM greatest rapper ever
