Los Angeles, CA

Anderson .Paak linked up with HipHopDX’s Editor-In-Chief Trent Clark for the latest episode of Soulful Sundays. Fresh off the release of his Oxnard album, the talented rapper/singer stopped by Comfort LA in downtown Los Angeles to enjoy some good food and discussion.

During the conversation, the Aftermath signee was asked about how he reacts to creative clashes with Dr. Dre in the studio. According to the Grammy-nominated artist, Dre will voice concerns during the process but ultimately leaves the final decisions to Paak.

“You just gotta fight for it if you really feeling it,” Paak noted. “The people that he works with, he has that respect for. And if he’s putting that much time into it, he respects your opinion too. He’s not gonna put that much time into someone that he’s gotta do all the work. So, we meet each other halfway. And he’s always like, ‘Your call AP,’ at the end of the day.”
