Kanye West has deactivated his Twitter/X account once again following a very busy week that included announcing his ill-received plans to venture into the porn business.
The polarizing artist took to the platform with a short video clip on Wednesday (April 24) that read the date, “4 24 24,″ and a succinct message against a plain-white background: “YEEZY PORN IS CUMMING.”

This coincided with a TMZ report from earlier that same day that said the Chicago native is planning to launch a porn studio, which would be part of “a broader adult entertainment division” of his existing Yeezy empire.
However, his announcement was met with an overwhelmingly negative reaction with many fans telling him to “return to Christ,” among other things. His account was deactivated shortly after, though it’s not confirmed that it was due to the backlash.

Kanye West has been very critical about his appetite for adult content in the past.
In a 2019 interview with Zane Lowe prior to the release of his family-friendly gospel album Jesus Is King, he admitted he had a “full-on pornography addiction.”

“For me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction,” he said. “My dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life.
“From age five ’til now, having to kick the habit and it just presents itself in the open like it’s okay and I stand up and say, ‘No, it’s not okay.’”
He then credited faith with helping him cure his addiction, saying: “With God I’ve been able to beat things that had a full control of me.”
Despite this, Kanye was later accused of frequently showing pornographic content to adidas employees during their lucrative Yeezy partnership, including sex tapes of him and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

The controversial rapper and fashion designer has also come under scrutiny over his current wife Bianca Censori’s penchant for wearing racy outfits that leave little to the imagination.
Earlier this year, her father publicly aired his frustration at the 46-year-old for “parad[ing] her around like a trashy naked trophy pony,” per The Daily Mail.
