The OWN Network has shared a two-minute clip of Oprah Winfrey sitting down with the First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama for their forthcoming interview, where the two talk about the “angry black woman” stereotype that has plagued Mrs. Obama the last eight years in the White House. In the clip, she admits to Oprah she feels the label is deep-rooted in fear.
“That was one of those things that you just sort of think ‘Dang, you don’t even know me, you know,’” the FLOTUS said. “You just sort of feel like ‘Wow, where did that come from?’”
The full interview between the two powerful women aired last night (December 19) on CBS at 8 p.m. ET. It is Mrs. Obama’s final interview as First Lady of the United States. Watch the teaser above.
