In anticipation of the premiere, Netflix has shared an official extended trailer for Barry, a film set in the 1970s about President Barack Obama‘s college years at Columbia University. Judging by the clip, the film spends time exploring his bi-racial background. “You know I’m the only black person in four of five of my classes,” Barack says to a fellow classmate. “But you’re half white too. you can fit in anywhere,” the classmate responds. “I fit in nowhere,” Barack replies.

Directed by Vikram Ghandi, the film stars 23-year-old Australian actor Devon Terrell, who adopted a Midwestern accent and learned to play basketball left handed for the role. Also in the film is Ashley Judd, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Mitchell, and Ellar Coltrane. Barry debuts in December. Check out the trailer above.
